Morningside House Senior Living is hiring a Maintenance Assistant / Painter for full-time work at our Towamencin site in Lansdale, PA. The role maintains the building and grounds, responds to work orders, and supports move-ins with basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry and painting tasks.

The position emphasizes safety, professional interaction with residents and families, and adherence to policies, with opportunities for training and career growth.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or 1–3 months related experience.
• Willingness to perform maintenance and painting tasks.
• Ability to work in a team and follow safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Responds to and completes resident work orders, ensuring quality of service to maximum resident satisfaction.
• Performs work needed to ready apartments for move-in as assigned.
• Performs general maintenance projects as assigned, including plumbing and electrical work, carpentry, painting, equipment repair, snow removal and landscaping maintenance.
• Maintains a safe working environment through adherence to safety plans and procedures.
• Maintains a positive and professional demeanor toward residents, visitors, families, and co-workers.

Maintenance Assistant / Painter- Summary:

Ensures the maintenance and upkeep of the building and grounds through routine procedures and special work orders. This position reports to the Director of Plant Operations.

Maintenance Assistant / Painter - Responsibilities:

• Responds to and completes resident work orders, ensuring quality of service to
• maximum resident satisfaction.
• Performs work needed to ready apartments for move-in as assigned.
• Performs general maintenance projects as assigned, including installations and repairs involving plumbing and electrical equipment, carpentry work, painting, equipment repair, snow removal and outside landscaping maintenance.
• Knowledgeable of all property emergency, safety/disaster plans and procedures.
• Responds promptly to emergencies.
• Maintains office, shops, storage and mechanical areas to Morningside Elite
• Management standards.
• Attends all required training, in-service, and staff meetings.
• May provide transportation services for residents.
• Strives to maintain a safe working environment through the prevention of accidents, the preservation of equipment, and the achievement of safe working practices.
• Maintains a positive and professional demeanor toward residents, visitors, families, and co-workers.
• Adheres to all policies and procedures of Morningside Elite Management.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Maintenance Assistant / Painter - Requirements

A High School Diploma or General Education Degree; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
