Job summary

Parc at Traditions, a Sonida Senior Living community in Bryan, TX, is seeking a Maintenance Assistant. You will perform general maintenance, respond to resident requests through the work order system, and ensure the building’s vital systems and public areas are safe and well-maintained.

Qualifications

• Experience in janitorial/maintenance work preferred; familiarity with minor repairs (structural, electrical, plumbing, security, HVAC) required.
• Experience in building safety and hazard reduction helpful.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance daily, addressing resident requests via the work order system.
• Conduct daily light bulb walk-arounds and ensure public areas are well-lit.
• Maintain building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, kitchen equipment).
• Keep storerooms and equipment organized.
• Carry out painting projects for common areas and offices.

Maintenance Assistant Responsibilities include:

• Performs general maintenance on a daily basis responding to resident request through the established work order program repairing plumbing, electrical and appliance issues.
• Performs daily light bulb walk around/inspection ensuring that all public area light bulbs are operable and working.
• Performs general maintenance on a daily basis for the building to include HVAC, plumbing, electrical and kitchen equipment issues.
• Maintains organization of all storage and equipment areas.
• Performs daily and as assigned painting projects for all common and office area

Qualifications:

• Experience in janitorial/maintenance work preferred; familiarity with techniques of minor repair and maintenance for structural, electrical, plumbing, security and heating and cooling systems required.
• Experience in building safety and hazard reduction helpful
