Job summary

Rivermere of Brookfield is seeking a Maintenance Assistant for our senior living community in Brookfield, CT. This full-time role runs 8am-4pm Tuesday through Saturday and involves maintaining grounds, facilities and equipment to support residents and staff.

Candidates should have basic plumbing, electrical and carpentry skills, strong English communication, and an interest in caring for seniors within a vibrant team environment.

Qualifications

• Maintenance responsibilities to keep grounds, facility, and equipment safe and functional.
• Knowledge in Preventative Maintenance preferred.
• English is required for communication with residents and staff.

Responsibilities

• Maintain grounds, facility and equipment to high safety and quality standards.
• Assist with building services under the Director of Building Services.
• Perform basic plumbing, electrical and carpentry tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• The Maintenance Assistant maintains the grounds, facility and equipment in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with current federal, state and local standards, guidelines, regulations and our established policies and procedures.
• May be directed by the Director of Building Services.
• Knowledge in Preventative Maintenance preferred.
• Basic knowledge of Plumbing, Electrical and Carpentry required. Painting experience a plus.
• English is required.
