Job summary

Rivermere of Brookfield is seeking a Dining Room Manager to lead the dining room operations for our senior living community. This full-time role covers 8am-4pm and 10am-6:30pm shifts, with some weekend availability.

You will hire, train and supervise wait staff and coordinate resident-focused dining experiences. The ideal candidate has restaurant management or banquet/catering experience, some management background in a senior living setting, and a solid understanding of seniors' dietary needs.

Qualifications

• Experience in restaurant management, banquet or catering is required.
• Senior Living industry experience is a plus and some management experience is required.
• Experience in managing line employees and understanding dietary needs of seniors is desirable.
• High school diploma is required.
• ServSafe certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee dining room operations (hiring, orientation and training of wait staff).
• Ensure adequate staffing to meet resident needs.
• Coordinate community events and functions.
• Maintain high resident satisfaction with dining services.
• Participate in department manager meetings.

Responsibilities

• The Restaurant Manager (Dining Room Manager) is responsible for all aspects dining room, including, hiring, orientation and training of all wait staff, insures adequate staffing to meet resident needs and coordinates community special events and functions.
• The Dining Room Manager insures overall resident satisfaction with dining services department.
• This position participates in community department manager meetings.

Qualifications

• We require some experience in restaurant management, banquet or catering experience required.
• Experience in the Senior Living industry a plus and must have some management experience.
• The ideal candidate will have experience in managing line employees, an understanding of the dietary needs of seniors and in the community.
• Must be a high school graduate.
• ServSafe certification a plus.
