Job summary

Rimrock in Billings, MT seeks a Facilities Maintenance Technician to maintain and remodel its buildings and care for the grounds. The role includes completing work orders, basic boiler and A/C upkeep, and ensuring compliance with HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2.

You will perform carpentry, plumbing, painting, landscaping, and snow removal, reading blueprints, and supporting residents and staff. Must lift up to 100 pounds and drive a company vehicle.

Qualifications

  • High school education; vocational training preferred.
  • Ability to read, measure and calculate.
  • Interact friendly and courteously with residents and staff.

Responsibilities

  • Update and complete all work orders as assigned.
  • Maintain off-site facilities including routine maintenance, upkeep and repair.
  • Clean and monitor parking areas and walkways, including snow and debris removal.
  • Maintain clean mechanical rooms and work areas.
  • Assist in maintaining fleet of vehicles: fueling, cleaning, and basic maintenance.
  • Perform general carpentry and remodeling including reading blueprints, framing, plumbing, sheet rocking, mudding and taping, interior and exterior painting.
  • Complete landscaping projects: sprinkler systems, sod, planting and removal of plants and trees.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or Director of Facilities.

Job description

Job Summary

Maintenance and remodeling of Rimrock's buildings and caretaking of grounds. Minor boiler and air conditioning maintenance. Assure adherence to state statutes, CARF standards, and federal regulations including HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2. Positively represent the organization and promote Rimrock's mission to the community.

Responsibilities
  • Update and complete all work orders as assigned.
  • Maintain all off‑site facilities including routine maintenance, upkeep and repair.
  • Clean and monitor parking area and walkways, including snow, leaf and debris removal from sidewalks.
  • Maintain clean mechanical rooms and work areas.
  • Assist in maintaining fleet of vehicles: fueling, cleaning, and basic maintenance.
  • Perform general carpentry and remodeling, including reading blueprints, framing, plumbing, sheet rocking, mudding and taping, interior and exterior painting.
  • Complete landscaping projects: sprinkler systems, sod, planting and removal of plants and trees, and any other projects assigned.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by supervisor or Director of Facilities.

Education / Training

High school education; special vocational training preferred.

Certificate / License

Current driver’s license and State of Montana Boiler Maintenance License preferred.

Skills

Ability to read, measure and calculate; safely use basic maintenance tools and painting equipment; interact friendly and courteously with residents and staff.

Physical Demands

Normally consists of general maintenance work. Lifting and carrying up to 100 pounds. Stooping, standing, walking, bending, kneeling, climbing, reaching about 75% of the time. Full manual dexterity required. Driving a company vehicle required. Ability to climb ladders and maintain balance on ladders.

Work Environment / Job Locations

Indoors and outdoors at all facility locations.
