Job summary

Meridian Senior Living is seeking a Maintenance Assistant at Netherbay at Bay Shore in New York. The candidate will assist the Maintenance Director in maintaining a safe, attractive, and well-maintained community for residents and staff.

The role requires relevant work experience, effective communication skills, and a valid driver license. A solid benefits package and flexible work hours are offered for Full-Time/Part-Time roles.

• 1+ years of relevant work experience preferred.
• Compassion for and desire to work with the elderly is essential.
• Basic reporting and organizational skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Maintenance Director in ensuring community safety and maintenance.
• Maintain the community within the maintenance budget.
• Ensure the community is attractive and well maintained.

Responsibilities

As the Maintenance Assistant, you will assist the Maintenance Director in ensuring that the Community is safe for residents and staff, attractive and well maintained, and operating within the Community maintenance budget.

Qualifications

• Relevant work experience (1+ years preferred)
• Compassion for and desire to work with the elderly
• Basic reporting and organizational skills
• Capable of maintaining full-time attendance
• Effective communication with residents, families, staff, vendors, and the general public
• Valid driver license
• Meeting all health requirements and passing background checks
• Assisted Living experience
