Job summary

Magna Cosma is seeking a Maintenance Area Leader to direct the maintenance department on the assigned shift. You will manage associates and coordinate with vendors to meet production priorities while upholding safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities include leading pre-shift meetings, communicating concerns, and driving continuous improvement through lean practices and preventive maintenance programs. This role emphasizes teamwork and strong leadership within a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED.
• Prefer a two year associates degree or higher in a related field.
• Prefer three years of supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and direct maintenance associates in a safe, quality minded, and productive manner with a sense of urgency to attain production priorities as scheduled.
• Fill in for the Asst. Maintenance Manager in his/her absence.
• Lead daily pre-shift meetings on assigned shift with associates and provide feedback and support.
• Communicate with maintenance leadership and plant personnel about maintenance concerns; provide status reports as appropriate.
• Assist in the implementations and improvement of effective preventive maintenance programs for all plant equipment.
• Lead the department in design and development of improving methods and equipment through continuous improvement and lean manufacturing principles.
