Job summary

The Maintenance Area Leader at Magna International will direct the work flow in the maintenance department for the assigned shift(s) by managing associates and projects, and work with vendors and contractors as necessary.

Responsibilities include supervising maintenance staff, improving preventive maintenance programs, supporting safety and lean initiatives, and ensuring documentation and reporting align with plant goals.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED.
• Prefer a two year associates degree or higher in a related field.
• Prefer three years of supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance staff and direct work flow.
• Fill in for the Asst. Maintenance Manager when needed.
• Lead pre-shift meetings and coordinate with plant personnel.
• Communicate maintenance concerns and provide status reports.
• Support preventive maintenance programs for plant equipment.
• Lead continuous improvement and lean manufacturing efforts.
