Job summary

SupportWorks Housing in Virginia Beach is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician to support our mission of safe, stable housing for vulnerable neighbors. Full-time role with day shift, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM, and a $2,500 hiring bonus.

You will assist experienced technicians, maintain common areas, turn over units, and help with inspections and safety systems. Benefits include after 30 days, retirement plan with company match, and paid holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ year of maintenance or grounds experience.
• Valid VA driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Assist experienced maintenance technicians
• Clean and maintain common areas and grounds
• Turn over units (cleaning, painting, minor repairs)
• Complete work orders & preventative maintenance
• Support inspections and identify maintenance needs
• Help ensure building safety systems are functioning properly
