Job summary

SupportWorks Housing is seeking a Maintenance Apprentice to learn a skilled trade while making a real difference. You will work alongside experienced maintenance technicians to support safe, clean, and well-maintained housing for people overcoming homelessness and related challenges.

The role offers hands-on training, a Monday–Friday schedule, and opportunities to gain practical, in-demand skills while contributing to our mission of dignity and respect for every resident.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1+ year of maintenance or grounds experience is preferred.
• Valid VA driver's license & reliable transportation are required.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn are essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist experienced maintenance technicians
• Clean and maintain common areas and grounds
• Turn over units (cleaning, painting, minor repairs)
• Complete work orders & preventative maintenance
• Support inspections and identify maintenance needs
• Help ensure building safety systems are functioning properly

What You'll Do:
