Job summary

SupportWorks Housing is seeking a Maintenance Apprentice to learn a skilled trade while making a real difference in our community. You will assist experienced maintenance technicians, keep common areas clean, turn over units, and help with work orders and preventative maintenance.

This hands-on role builds practical, in-demand skills while supporting safer, well-maintained homes for residents. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma and at least one year of maintenance or grounds experience,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ year of maintenance or grounds experience.
• Valid VA driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Assist experienced maintenance technicians
• Clean and maintain common areas and grounds
• Turn over units (cleaning, painting, minor repairs)
• Complete work orders & preventative maintenance
• Support inspections and identify maintenance needs
• Help ensure building safety systems are functioning properly
