Job summary

George’s Inc. in Batesville, AR is seeking a Maintenance Apprentice - Level 1 to assist our maintenance team with repairs, installations, and preventative tasks on our machinery and facilities.

You’ll use basic hand, power, and industrial tools, complete daily work orders, and maintain a clean work area; lock out/tag out certification is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic tools to perform the above tasks.
• Operational knowledge of common hand, power, and industrial tools.
• Lock out / tag out certification.
• Preferred: experience in machine maintenance, building maintenance, preventative maintenance and/or basic electrical.

Responsibilities

• Assist the maintenance techs engaged in installations, repairs, and preventative maintenance in the assigned area.
• Dismantle machinery or equipment using common hand, power, and industrial tools to examine parts for defects and repair or replacement.
• Lock out / tag out certification.
• Complete daily maintenance paperwork for assigned work orders/requests and checklists.
• Maintain clean and organized work area.
• Special projects/duties as assigned by maintenance supervisor or manager.
