Job summary

George’s Inc. is seeking an Occupational Maintenance Technician Level 2 in Edinburg, VA. The role focuses on repairing and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical/electronic equipment, while performing preventative maintenance across the facility.

The candidate will work with a range of hand and power tools, must have 2+ years of maintenance experience and a high school diploma, and must hold a valid driver’s license. Welding experience and LOTO certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and 2+ years in machine maintenance, building maintenance, preventative maintenance, carpentry, electrical, heating/cooling systems, plumbing and/or electrical.
• Basic welding experience.
• Able to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
• Have or obtain tools needed to perform the above tasks.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Operational knowledge of common hand, power, and industrial tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly preventative maintenance in assigned area.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical/electronic equipment used in the facility.
• Perform repairs and equipment installation/removal in an efficient manner.
• Maintain good housekeeping at workstations and work areas.
• Respond to plant emergencies including Haz-Mat incidents, equipment malfunction, fires, severe weather, etc. as directed by supervision.
• Lock out / tag out certification.
• Complete daily maintenance paperwork for assigned work orders/requests and checklists.
• Special projects/duties as assigned by maintenance supervisor or manager.
