SUMMARY
The Maintenance Apprentice is responsible for assisting the maintenance department with repairing and maintaining the machinery, equipment, and facilities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist the maintenance techs engaged in installations, repairs, and preventative maintenance in the assigned area.
- Dismantle machinery or equipment using common hand, power, and industrial tools to examine parts for defects and repair or replacement.
- Lock out / tag out certification.
- Complete daily maintenance paperwork for assigned work orders/requests and checklists.
- Maintain clean and organized work area.
- Special projects/duties as assigned by maintenance supervisor or manager.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position will not have supervisory responsibility.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Required
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic tools to perform the above tasks
- Operational knowledge of common hand, power, and industrial tools
- Preferred
- Experience in machine maintenance (as helper), building maintenance, preventative maintenance and/or basic electrical
