Job summary

Custom Filters Direct in Bloomsburg, PA, is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Apprentice for 1st shift to learn production equipment repair and facilities maintenance alongside our experienced team.

We’re looking for mechanically inclined individuals with basic tool skills and some mechanical training or hands-on repair experience. Experience through technical school, automotive repair, or personal projects is welcome. Prior industrial maintenance experience is not required.

Qualifications

• Basic mechanical knowledge or hands-on repair experience.
• Experience safely using hand and power tools.
• High school diploma or equivalent; ability to commute to Bloomsburg facility.

Responsibilities

• Assist with inspecting, troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing production machinery and automated equipment.
• Learn preventive maintenance tasks, including lubrication, equipment checks, and adjustments.
• Help repair or replace worn mechanical components under supervision.
• Assist with general building repairs and facilities upkeep, including lighting, fixtures, and basic plumbing tasks as trained and authorized.
• Learn to read equipment manuals, follow work orders, and document completed maintenance.
• Keep tools, supplies, and work areas clean and organized.
• Work with maintenance and production employees to support reliable equipment operation.
• Follow safety procedures, including lockout/tagout, and perform tasks only as trained and authorized.

• Pay: $18-20 per hour, based on experience.
• Attendance bonus: $50 weekly for meeting attendance requirements.

Technical or trade school coursework in industrial maintenance, mechanics, automotive technology, mechatronics, or electrical technology is preferred but not required.
