A-Line is seeking a mechanically inclined individual for an entry-level maintenance role in Waterloo, IA. No prior experience required; you’ll receive hands-on training from experienced mechanics and build a long-term career in maintenance.

On the 1st shift, Monday through Friday, 6:45 AM to 4:30 PM, you’ll assist with inspections and repairs on semi trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment, learn to use tools safely, and gain skills for future advancement.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required; mechanically inclined and eager to learn.
• Requires a valid driver’s license.
• Physically able to perform duties in a maintenance role.

What We Offer:

• $19.00 per hour
• 1st Shift | Monday-Friday | 6:45 AM-4:30 PM

What You'll Do:

• Assist with DOT inspections and repairs on semi trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment.
• Learn to inspect industrial equipment, identify potential issues, and assist with troubleshooting and repairs.
• Support building and grounds maintenance as needed.
• Pick up parts and supplies to keep maintenance work moving.
• Learn to use tools and equipment safely while developing your mechanical skills.

What We're Looking For:

• A mechanical mindset and an interest in figuring out how things work.
• A desire in developing a career in maintenance or becoming a mechanic.
• Is dependable, safety-conscious, and willing to learn.
• A valid driver's license.
• Ability to work a physically demanding role that involves standing, walking and lifting.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and indoors in a maintenance shop where noise, grease, dirt, and other industrial conditions are present.
