Hawaiian Building Maintenance in Honolulu, HI is seeking a Maintenance Apprentice to join our team. The role covers general maintenance and repairs of facility equipment, grounds, and structures, with a 40-hour workweek and a schedule Monday–Friday 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, plus occasional Saturdays.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct preventative maintenance inspections and repairs.
• Perform basic plumbing and electrical tasks.
• Maintain mechanical systems including HVAC.
• Paint, repair drywall, and perform grounds upkeep.
• Work indoors or outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Access confined spaces and navigate tight areas.
• Ensure equipment and systems operate properly and repair as needed.
• Provide outstanding customer service to property managers, vendors, and clients.
• Engage in continuous movement: standing, walking, bending and stretching.
• Lift, push, and pull items weighing 50–75 pounds.
• Create and manage work orders and purchase orders.
• Complete additional maintenance tasks as assigned by supervisor or property management.

Hawaiian Building Maintenance has been delivering exceptional service since 1957 and stands as one of the largest facility service providers in the State of Hawaii. We are currently seeking a qualified individual with industry or related experience to join our team! Reporting directly to the Chief Building Engineer or the Account Manager-Engineering. The Maintenance Apprentice will be tasked with general maintenance and repairs of facility equipment and property structures, as well as grounds maintenance. All applicants must successfully pass HBM prescreen check, valid Hawaii driver's license, reliable vehicle, some hands-on maintenance experience, proficiency in light plumbing, electrical work, HVAC, carpentry, and painting, all tasks must be performed in accordance with EPA, Hazmat, and OSHA safety regulations.

Job Title: Maintenance Apprentice

Location: Downtown Oahu (Honolulu, HI 96813)

Status: Full-Time

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with availability to work 3 Saturdays per quarter (total of 9 Saturdays annually)

Hours Per Week: 40-hours

Hourly Pay Rate: $20.00

Key Responsibilities:

• Conducting preventative maintenance inspections and repairs, which encompass:
• Basic plumbing and electrical tasks
• Mechanical systems, including heating, ventilation, and air conditioning.
• Painting, drywall repair, and grounds upkeep
• Capable of working under various weather conditions, both indoors and outdoors
• Ability to navigate confined spaces Accessing small areas measuring 18 inches by 18 inches
• Ensuring that mechanical equipment and systems are functioning properly and performing necessary repairs.
• Providing outstanding customer service when interacting with property managers, vendors, and clients.
• Engaging in continuous movement, including standing, walking, bending, and stretching throughout shifts.
• Lifting, pushing, and pulling items weighing between 50 to 75 pounds
• Creating and managing work orders and purchase orders
• Completing additional maintenance tasks as assigned by theH.B.M. supervisor or property management team.
