Job summary

TI Automotive is seeking a Manufacturing Maintenance Technician Apprentice to perform regular preventive maintenance, troubleshoot and repair equipment used in manufacturing processes to ensure production runs smoothly.

Responsibilities include following safety procedures, using CMMS to document work orders, coordinating with maintenance team, and ensuring parts and tools are organized and available.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Completion of LOTO, Overhead Crane and Forklift training.
  • Maintain a 2.7 GPA or higher and attendance < 2.5 points.
  • No safety violations within 1 year from application date.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot and repair manufacturing equipment.
  • Follow work instructions and procedures.
  • Correct mechanical, electrical or hydraulic problems or escalate to Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Maintain fixtures and equipment to ensure safety and quality.
  • Advise when spare parts are used and organize parts as needed.
  • Follow lockout/tagout procedures and safety rules 100%.
  • Use CMMS to document work orders and spare parts usage.
  • Perform timely preventive maintenance on assigned equipment.
  • Adhere to TI Automotive safety guidelines and participate in corrective actions.
  • Contribute to corrective actions with health and safety and CI teams.
  • Ensure compliance with MIOSHA and OSHA regulations.

A manufacturing maintenance technician apprentice is responsible for performing regular preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on equipment used in manufacturing process to ensure the successful execution of production activities.

Job Responsibilities
  • Understand importance of quality requirements by maintaining, adjusting, and repairing manufacturing equipment in a timely manner when necessary to meet customer needs.
  • Adhere to relevant system work instructions, processes, and procedures.
  • Correct mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, etc., problems and if not possible, report concerns to Maintenance Supervisor and/or Dept. Manager.
  • Maintain, inspect, repair and/or adjust trim fixtures, assembly fixtures, support equipment, etc., when necessary to ensure employee safety and product quality.
  • Advise group leader and/or department manager when spare parts are used for repairs.
  • Possibly create and generate requisitions if required. Organize spare parts if necessary.
  • Follow lockout/tagout procedures as well as safety rules 100% of the time.
  • Use CMMS software to communicate Work Orders and document use of spare parts.
  • Perform timely Preventative Maintenance on assigned fixtures and machinery.
  • Carry and enforce TI Automotive workplace safety guidelines and health and safety statement.
  • Complete reports of accidents / incidents immediately and participate in corrective action process.
  • Ensure safety concerns that arise from safety incidents, accidents or safety meetings are corrected immediately.
  • Ensure work instructions are followed to produce quality part per customer specifications.
  • Cooperate, participate and lead corrective actions in conjunction with health and safety committee, continuous improvement team and other departments within facility.
  • Ensure all local, state and federal laws are upheld and followed in relation to safety, environmental, hiring and recruitment and worker safety, as stated by MIOSHA and the Federal Occupational Safety and Health Association.
  • Contribute to a work environment free from harassment, where fairness, equality and non discriminatory practices are standard
  • Performs duties as assigned
Job Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • No safety violations within one (1) year from the date of application
  • Complete LOTO, Overhead Crane, and Forklift training
  • Maintain a 2.7 GPA or higher.
  • Maintain an average of 2.5 attendance points or less.
