Job summary

Hire Up Staffing Services seeks an Automation Technician to join our Katy, TX team. The role focuses on supporting automation systems, troubleshooting PLC-controlled equipment, and performing routine maintenance in a production setting.

Expected to assist with installation, startup of new equipment, and to maintain safe, organized work areas while following safety protocols and LO/TO procedures. This is a great position for growth in automation and manufacturing maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Assist with troubleshooting PLC-controlled equipment, sensors, and electrical components.
• Perform routine maintenance on automation and control systems.
• Assist with installation and startup of new automated equipment.
• Inspect equipment to identify issues and ensure safe operation.
• Assist with replacing sensors, switches, relays, motors, and other components.
• Read and interpret basic electrical diagrams and drawings.
• Assist with PLC diagnostics and troubleshooting under supervision.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and issues.
• Follow LOTO and electrical safety requirements.
• Communicate issues and maintenance needs to senior staff.
• Support production and maintenance teams to keep equipment operating.

Hire Up Staffing is seeking a dependable and motivated Automation Technician to join a growing team in Katy, TX.

Pay: $19.00 per hour Schedule: Monday-Friday, 1:00 PM - 9:30 PM Temp-to-Hire: Yes Interview Required: Yes Dress Code: Polo, jeans, and steel-toe shoes

Job Responsibilities

• Assist with troubleshooting automated equipment, PLC-controlled systems, sensors, and electrical components
• Perform routine maintenance on automation and control systems
• Assist with the installation and startup of new automated equipment
• Inspect equipment to identify potential issues and ensure safe, efficient operation
• Assist with replacing sensors, switches, relays, motors, and other automation components
• Read and interpret basic electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings
• Assist with PLC diagnostics and troubleshooting under the guidance of senior technicians or maintenance supervisors
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment issues
• Follow all company safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and electrical safety requirements
• Communicate equipment issues and maintenance needs to senior technicians, engineers, and supervisors
• Support production and maintenance teams to help keep equipment operating efficiently
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

Requirements
