Exceptional Dental is seeking a dependable Maintenance & Grounds Person to care for the building, grounds, equipment, and surrounding property in Bethel Park, PA. The role involves routine inspections, basic repairs, winter prep, and safe, clean maintenance.

You will handle snow and ice removal, perform general upkeep, assist with projects, and work up to 25–30 hours per week. Valid driver's license and ability to operate basic tools are required.

Qualifications

Maintenance & Grounds Personnel

Location: Bethel Park, PA
Position: Maintenance & Grounds Personnel
Schedule: 25-30 hours per week (May Vary)
Pay: $35.00–$40.00/hr.; Commensurate with Experience

Position Summary

We are seeking a dependable, hands-on Maintenance & Grounds Person to maintain the building, grounds, equipment, and surrounding property. This position will be responsible for general building repairs, seasonal preparation, snow and ice removal, and keeping the property safe, clean, and well maintained.

The position will also assist with reasonable property-related tasks and projects as needed.

Primary Responsibilities

Building & General Maintenance

• Perform routine inspections of the building and property.
• Complete minor repairs and maintenance as needed.
• Perform basic carpentry, plumbing, painting, drywall, hardware, and other general repairs.
• Replace light fixtures, bulbs, filters, batteries, and other basic maintenance items.
• Identify maintenance problems and report larger repairs that require a licensed contractor.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and maintenance supplies.
• Keep maintenance areas clean and organized.

Winter Preparation

• Prepare the building and property for winter weather.
• Inspect doors, windows, exterior areas, drainage, and other areas before freezing weather.
• Protect or store seasonal equipment and materials.
• Check that heating and other building systems are ready for winter.
• Complete other seasonal winterization tasks as necessary.

Snow & Ice Removal

• Operate snowplow, snow blower, and other snow-removal equipment.
• Remove snow from parking areas, driveways, sidewalks, entrances, and other required areas.
• Apply salt or ice-melt products as needed.
• Respond to snow and ice events when necessary to maintain safe access to the property.
• Monitor the property during and after significant winter storms.

Grounds & Property Maintenance

• Perform seasonal cleanup, including leaves, branches, debris, and other materials.
• Maintain exterior areas of the property.
• Assist with landscaping and basic groundskeeping as needed.
• Keep parking areas, walkways, entrances, and exterior spaces clean and safe.
• Assist with moving, organizing, assembling, or setting up items around the property.

Personal Property Related Tasks

• Assist with reasonable maintenance and property-related tasks as requested.
• Help with errands, moving materials, seasonal projects, organization, and other practical tasks when appropriate.
• Maintain a professional and respectful working relationship.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in building maintenance, handyman work, property maintenance, landscaping, or a related field preferred.
• Ability to perform basic repairs and troubleshoot maintenance problems.
• Must possess electrical, carpentry, and plumbing skills and have the necessary tools on hand to perform the job.
• Experience operating snowplows, snow blowers, lawn equipment, or similar machinery preferred.
• Snow truck/snow plow provided.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and equipment.
• Comfortable working outdoors in cold, snow, rain, and other weather conditions.
• Dependable, trustworthy, punctual, and self-motivated.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Good judgment and attention to safety.

Hours

• This position is responsible for snow and ice removal, the employee may occasionally be required to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, or during significant winter weather events.
• Additional hours should be approved by the owner/manager when possible.
