Job description

Job Description

Supervise and assist in the completion of day-to-day activities, involving maintenance of the building/facility, equipment, and machinery including HVAC, building lighting systems, production lines, groundskeeping, and overall facility appearance. Supervise and coordinate the work of employees who repair and complete project activities related to maintaining the building/facility, equipment, and machinery. Supervise adherence to Maintenance Work Order System and preventive/predictive maintenance practices. Work with Cornerstone’s Core Values in mind: Safety, Integrity,

  • Responsible for communicating daily with all levels of employees to assist in resolving problems and achieving company goals.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state laws.
  • Prepare work schedules, assign work, and oversee the work product.
  • Coordinate construction projects, remodels, and other special projects with third-party contractors as needed.
  • Supervise the work order system to establish priority and control over maintenance requests from plant personnel, ensuring requests are completed by the assigned deadline.
  • Coach, counsel, and supervise the performance of direct reports.
  • Participate in developing and maintaining the Preventive Maintenance Schedule program for applicable equipment and machinery.
  • Assist in preparing and administering the maintenance budget, including submitting recommendations, monitoring expenditures, and preparing cost estimates.
  • Manage training and professional development of direct reports, motivate, and evaluate performance.
  • Lead by example, enforce safety and operational procedures, promote a safe working environment, and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Monitor, review, and audit plant equipment and systems to minimize unplanned downtime, troubleshoot issues promptly, and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Maintain clean and orderly work areas and equipment.
  • Perform all duties safely.
  • Work collaboratively across functions.
  • Utilize maintenance strategies to eliminate failures.
  • Maintain understanding of customer expectations and the impact of failures or poor quality.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Associates Degree in a related field.
  • 5+ years of maintenance experience.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and CMMS.
  • TPM experience is a plus but not required.
  • Strong knowledge of schematics and blueprints.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication and leadership skills.
  • Proven experience leading small teams.
