Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment, facilities, and systems to minimize downtime.
- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and plumbing issues using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters.
- Perform repairs involving welding, electrical work, or mechanical adjustments to ensure equipment operates at peak performance.
- Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to diagnose problems accurately.
- Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to document work orders, track maintenance activities, and schedule future tasks.
- Lead or assist with facilities maintenance tasks including residential painting, carpentry, or general upkeep as needed.
- Supervise or coordinate with other team members during maintenance projects while ensuring safety protocols are followed.
- Support manufacturing operations by maintaining machinery uptime and assisting with process improvements.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with internal teams regarding maintenance schedules or issues.
- Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to safety standards and participating in safety training sessions.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance or manufacturing environments with a strong mechanical knowledge base.
- Skilled in electrical troubleshooting with experience working on programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and electrical systems.
- Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals accurately.
- Hands-on experience with welding techniques and use of tools such as ohmmeters for electrical testing.
- Knowledge of CMMS software for managing maintenance workflows efficiently.
- Strong supervisory or leadership experience in coordinating maintenance activities or supervising teams.
- Excellent communication skills in English for clear documentation and team collaboration.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting heavy equipment, working at heights, or in confined spaces safely.
- Familiarity with residential painting, general carpentry, or other facilities upkeep is a plus.
- Previous experience in manufacturing settings involving production machinery is highly desirable.
