INDUSTRIAL MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

Starting Pay Range: $19.00-$26.00 per hour Schedule: Full-time, First Shift 5:00AM Start

Sharpsville Container Corporation is seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician to support our manufacturing operations. This position installs, maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs industrial electrical and mechanical systems, machinery, and facility equipment. The role is essential to keeping production equipment operating safely and efficiently through preventive maintenance, timely repairs, and effective problem solving.

What You’ll Do

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems, including motors, drives, relays, control panels, PLCs, and associated wiring in accordance with applicable codes and equipment specifications.
• Perform mechanical maintenance and repair work on conveyors, gearboxes, pumps, bearings, drives, and other production machinery.
• Diagnose electrical and mechanical problems promptly to minimize production downtime.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, blueprints, and technical manuals.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance, inspections, adjustments, and equipment servicing.
• Use electrical and mechanical diagnostic tools to identify equipment failures and verify repairs.
• Support the installation, alignment, and commissioning of new or relocated machinery and equipment.
• Follow lockout tagout procedures and all company safety requirements during maintenance activities.
• Document maintenance work, inspections, repairs, parts usage, and equipment conditions accurately.
• Work with production employees and supervisors to identify and correct recurring equipment issues.
• Maintain an orderly work area and ensure tools, equipment, and replacement parts are used and stored properly.
• Perform other maintenance and facility-related duties as assigned.

What We’re Looking For

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least five years of industrial maintenance experience.
• Strong mechanical maintenance and troubleshooting experience.
• Working knowledge of industrial electrical systems, controls, and mechanical systems.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, equipment drawings, and technical manuals.
• Proficiency with electrical and mechanical diagnostic tools.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and commitment to safe work practices.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize maintenance needs, and respond effectively to equipment breakdowns.
• Ability to commute reliably to Sharpsville Pennsylvania.
• Applicant must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with PLCs, motor controls, variable frequency drives, relays, and control panels.
• Experience in a metal fabrication, welding, or manufacturing environment.
• Ability to weld, fabricate, and use basic machining tools.

This is an on-site industrial manufacturing position involving prolonged standing and walking, frequent use of the hands and arms, bending and reaching, material handling, production equipment, noise, and required personal protective equipment.
