Job summary

Sharpsville Container Corporation is seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician for a full-time, first-shift role with a 5:00AM start. The technician will install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical and mechanical systems to keep production equipment running safely and efficiently.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED and at least five years of industrial maintenance experience, withPLC/motor controls and diagnostic tooling preferred.

Qualifications

• At least five years of industrial maintenance experience.
• Strong mechanical maintenance and troubleshooting experience.
• Working knowledge of industrial electrical systems, controls, and mechanical systems.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, equipment drawings, and technical manuals.
• Proficiency with electrical and mechanical diagnostic tools.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and commitment to safe work practices.
• Ability to commute reliably to Sharpsville, PA.
• Applicant must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems, including motors, drives, relays, control panels, PLCs, and associated wiring in accordance with applicable codes and equipment specifications.
• Perform mechanical maintenance and repair work on conveyors, gearboxes, pumps, bearings, drives, and other production machinery.
• Diagnose electrical and mechanical problems promptly to minimize production downtime.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, blueprints, and technical manuals.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance, inspections, adjustments, and equipment servicing.
• Use electrical and mechanical diagnostic tools to identify equipment failures and verify repairs.
• Support the installation, alignment, and commissioning of new or relocated machinery and equipment.
• Follow lockout tagout procedures and all company safety requirements during maintenance activities.
• Document maintenance work, inspections, repairs, parts usage, and equipment conditions accurately.
• Work with production employees and supervisors to identify and correct recurring equipment issues.
• Maintain an orderly work area and ensure tools, equipment, and replacement parts are used and stored properly.
• Perform other maintenance and facility-related duties as assigned.
