Job summary

Kana Hotel Group is seeking a dedicated Maintenance/Housekeeping assistant to uphold high standards across pool, grounds, and interior spaces in our Pigeon Forge property. The role involves preventive maintenance, safety checks, and prompt reporting of issues to ensure guest satisfaction.

The candidate should be able to work independently, have some hospitality experience, and be motivated to contribute to a team that values service quality and employee growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Hospitality experience preferred.
• AA degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance preferred.
• Craft apprenticeship or equivalent maintenance education preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain the pool area and exercise room.
• Keep grounds clear of visible trash and clean parking lot, sidewalks, breezeways, stairs, and entrance.
• Check the maintenance log in the front office and fix problems.
• Work on preventive maintenance duties.
• Report problems that cannot be fixed to the manager on duty.
• Report issues affecting guest satisfaction to necessary departments and GM.
• Keep storage area clean daily and lock storage areas before clocking out.
• Ensure adequate housekeeping supplies on each floor and sufficient linens in stock.
• Verify exterior lights are working and report safety hazards throughout the hotel.
• Maintain inventory in stock rooms and alert GM if supplies need ordering.
• Follow and complete the guest room inspection checklist for each room.
• Clean equipment, HVAC filters, windows and doors.
• Other duties as assigned

Education

High school diploma or GED

AA degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance

Hospitality experience preferred

Craft apprenticeship or equivalent maintenance education preferred

Primary Responsibilities

• Clean andmaintain the pool area and exercise room
• Keeps grounds clear of visible trash and cleans the parking lot, sidewalks, breezeways, stairs, & entrance thoroughly, including weed removal
• Check the maintenance log in the front office & fixes any problems
• Work on any preventive duties
• Report any problem that cannot be easily fixed to the manager on duty so that professional help can be contacted
• Report any problems that would interfere with guest satisfaction to necessary departments and GM
• Keep the storage area clean everyday and lock all storage areas before clocking out
• Ensure that there are enough housekeeping supplies on each floorandthere are enough linens & supplies in stock
• Verify that all exterior lights are working properly
• Report & fixes any safety hazards throughout the hotel
• Ensures that the stock room has sufficient inventory to last at least two weeks & brings it to the attention of the GM if any supply needs to be ordered
• Follow & fill out the guest room inspection checklist on each room
• Cleansequipment. the filters on all HVAC units, and windows and doors
• Other duties as assigned

Education/Experience

• Highschool Diploma/GED required
• Hospitality experience preferred
• Completion of a craft apprenticeship, or an equivalent number of years of education and production maintenance experience preferred
• An AA degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance preferred
• Must be highly motivated and able to work independently
