Job summary

Kana Hotel Group is seeking a dedicated housekeeper to maintain cleanliness and comfort in guest areas. You will clean hallways, guest rooms, restrooms, and public spaces while ensuring high standards of hospitality and safety.

A friendly demeanor and attention to detail are essential for delivering excellent guest experiences. Experience in housekeeping or customer service is preferred; a high school diploma or GED is recommended.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or preferred.
• Previous housekeeping experience preferred.
• Attention to detail and basic cleaning skills essential.

Responsibilities

• Cleans hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, and other work areas.
• Strip linens from guest rooms and assist with cleaning guest rooms.
• Complies with safety data sheet regulations when handling chemicals.
• Moves and dusts furniture and cleans floors, carpets, and draperies.
• Collects soiled linens and replenishes supplies in linen closet.
• Cleans bathrooms and replenishes supplies; restocks towels and amenities.
• Transports trash to disposal area and maintains cleanliness of work areas.
• Greets guests warmly and provides assistance as needed.
• Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required.

Primary Responsibilities

• Cleans hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, and locker rooms and other work areas.
• Strip linens from guest rooms and may assist with cleaning guest room.
• Abides by the regulations set forth by the material safety data sheets when using chemicals.
• Moves/arranges furniture and dusts/polishes furniture, metalwork and equipment.
• Sweeps, scrubs, waxes, and polishes floors, using brooms and mops and powered scrubbing and waxing machines. Cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies, using vacuum cleaner.
• Collects soiled linens for laundering and receives and stores linen supplies in linen closet.
• Cleans bathrooms and replenishes with supplies.
• Refurnishes room with supplies, towels etc. as required. Supplies cleaning cart with appropriate supplies for shift.
• Washes walls, ceiling, and woodwork; washes windows, door panels, and sills.
• Empties wastebaskets and empties and cleans ashtrays. Transports trash and waste to disposal area.
• Takes the initiative to greet guests in a friendly and warm manner.
• Available to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed

Education/Experience

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Previous housekeeping experience preferred
• Attention to detail
• Previous customer service experience
