Medina Nursing Center in Kentucky is seeking a detail-oriented maintenance technician to perform routine and preventative maintenance on building systems and medical equipment, including wheelchairs and hospital beds. You will troubleshoot basic issues and coordinate with staff to minimize downtime.
Responsibilities include carpentry, drywall repair, painting, electrical and plumbing diagnostics, grounds care, and ensuring safety compliance with OSHA and local codes.
Routine & Preventative Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections of building & equipment including wheelchairs, oxygen concentrators, hospital beds, etc.
General Repairs: Perform basic carpentry, drywall repair, painting
System Diagnostics: Troubleshoot minor electrical issues (replacing fixtures, switches, outlets) and plumbing problems (fixing leaks, unclogging drains, replacing valves).
Grounds & Exterior Care: Maintain exterior upkeep, which may include seasonal tasks like snow removal, salting walkways, basic landscaping, and ensuring parking lots and entryways are clean and safe.
Safety & Compliance: Ensure all work is performed in accordance with local building codes, safety regulations (OSHA), and facility-specific safety protocols. Maintain clear documentation of work orders and repairs.
