Job summary

Richardson International Limited in Carrington, ND operates a durum milling and pasta production facility. We seek a Maintenance Worker to support preventive maintenance on process systems and utilities, trouble-shoot issues, and document work clearly.

Ideal candidates have a technical degree or MOS experience, 2+ years in maintenance, and welding skills. Schedule is nights (9pm–7:30am); starting pay $26/hr, with overtime and benefits.

Qualifications

• Two-year associates degree or higher in technical field (mechanical, electrical, mechatronics, etc.).
• Military training and experience in a relevant MOS.
• 2+ years hands-on maintenance experience in mechanics, electrical, electro-mechanical, or related roles.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preventative and predictive maintenance on process systems and facility equipment.
• Troubleshoot issues on process systems using manuals and schematics.
• Document work orders, PM checklists, permits, and maintain GMPs and safety standards.

We currently have an opportunity for a **Maintenance Worker**at our **Carrington, ND** durum milling and pasta production facility, where we produce Dakota Growers pasta.**Responsibilities:*** Assist with preventative and predictive maintenance on process systems including mill, production, packaging, utility, and other facility equipment* Partner with operations to troubleshoot issues on process systems, utilizing machine manuals and schematics* Assist with maintaining utility operations including boilers, compressors, vacuum pumps, water supply and HVAC systems* Document work (PM checklists, work orders, permits, etc.) and maintain GMPs, safety and food safety standards* Partner with company leadership to proactively identify and execute on continuous improvement opportunities in the areas of safety, food safety, quality, productivity, and sanitation**Qualifications:*** High school diploma or GED equivalent from and accredited institution and one of the following:* Two-year associates degree or higher in technical field (mechanical, electrical, mechatronics, electro-mechanical, controls and automation, etc.) or equivalent* Military training and experience in a relevant Military Occupational Specialty (MOS)* 2+ years of hands-on experience in a mechanic, maintenance, electrical, electro-mechanical, controls and automation, or related role* Experience with basic carpentry, plumbing, welding, metal work, and fabrication* Able to work weekends, holidays, and overtime**Preferred Qualifications:*** Maintenance experience in a food manufacturing facility* Experience reading blueprints and schematics* Experience with MIG, TIG, and stick welding* Experience with power transmission components such as belt drives, chain drives, bearings, motors & gears* Experience with drill presses, lathes, Bridgeport-type mills* Experience with operation and maintenance of forklifts, scissor lifts, and articulated lifts**Physical Requirements:**Qualified candidates must be able to perform the following physical job requirements, with or without reasonable accommodation:* Crouch, stoop, kneel, reach above shoulders, bend, balance, climb, work on ladder, push, pull, grasp, feel, perform fine manipulation, operate foot pedals, lift/carry, sit, stand and walk for extended periods* Work in dusty, high heat/humidity, and cold environments, and confined spaces* Wear a respirator as needed* Make fine distinctions by sound* Communicate verbally and in writing, and distinguish objects or equipment visually**Shift:** 9pm-7:30am**Schedule:** Sunday-Wednesday or Wednesday-Saturday**Starting Pay:** $26/hr
