Newton Village, a Cassia community in Newton, IA, is hiring a Maintenance Worker to join our team. You will help keep the facility in great shape and support residents' daily lives with friendly, proactive service.

We offer a full-time schedule with benefits including health coverage, PTO, retirement plan, and tuition assistance. Prior experience in plumbing, electrical work, HVAC or floor care is valued, and on-call availability is required.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in plumbing, electrical work, HVAC and/or floor care.
• Healthcare setting experience preferred, but not required.
• Must be available to work on-call as needed.
• Able to perform basic carpentry, plumbing, and electrical repairs.
• Able to use basic maintenance tools such as hammer, pliers, screwdriver, drill, etc.
• Must have strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides carpet and floor care in residents rooms and common areas.
• Disposes of trash from common areas and resident rooms.
• Additional duties may include cleaning windows, moving and arranging furniture.
• Perform routine maintenance repairs and projects as needed.
• Follow scheduledmaintenance program.
• Respond to maintenance requests by residents and staff.
• Follow-through on projects with little supervision.
• Perform manual tasks and carry out all given job-related instructions.
• Keep detailed reports of ongoing and completed projects.
• Perform other duties as requested.

Newton Village, a Cassia community, is hiring a Maintenance Worker to join our team. In this role, you'll be responsible for keeping our lovely facility in great shape and contributing positively to our residents' lives. We're seeking someone with a friendly, upbeat personality as our ideal candidate.

Position Type: Full-Time, benefits eligible position working a varying schedule

Location: 110 N 5th Ave W, Newton, IA 50208

Maintenance Responsibilities

• Provides carpet and floor care in residents rooms and common areas.
• Disposes of trash from common areas and resident rooms.
