Job summary

Cassia's Newton Village, a compassionate senior care community, is hiring a Maintenance Worker to keep the facility in good shape and support residents' daily lives. This full-time role covers carpet and floor care, routine repairs, and responding to maintenance requests, with on-call availability and opportunities to grow within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in plumbing, electrical work, HVAC and/or floor care.
• Healthcare setting experience preferred, but not required.
• Must be available to work on-call as needed.
• Able to make repairs inside and outside of building, basic carpentry, basic plumbing, replace light bulbs, filters, etc.
• Able to use basic maintenance tools such as hammer, pliers, screwdriver, drill, etc.
• Must have strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides carpet and floor care in residents rooms and common areas.
• Disposes of trash from common areas and resident rooms.
• Additional duties may include cleaning windows, moving and arranging furniture.
• Perform routine maintenance repairs and projects as needed.
• Follow scheduledmaintenance program.
• Respond to maintenance requests by residents and staff.
• Follow-through on projects with little supervision.
• Perform manual tasks and carry out all given job-related instructions.
• Keep detailed reports of ongoing and completed projects.
• Perform other duties as requested.

In this role, you'll be responsible for keeping our lovely facility in great shape and contributing positively to our residents' lives. We're seeking someone with a friendly, upbeat personality as our ideal candidate.

Position Type: Full-Time, benefits eligible position working a varying schedule

Location: 110 N 5th Ave W, Newton, IA 50208

Maintenance Responsibilities:
