Job summary

Kana Hotel Group is seeking a dedicated maintenance-oriented team member to clean and maintain the pool area, exercise room, and surrounding grounds. You will handle preventive tasks, inspect and repair basic equipment, and ensure safety and cleanliness throughout the hotel environment.

Responsibilities include logging maintenance, communicating with the manager, and ensuring adequate supplies and inventory for operations.

Qualifications

• High school Diploma or GED is required.
• Hospitality experience is preferred.
• Completion of a craft apprenticeship, or an equivalent number of years of education and production maintenance experience is preferred.
• An AA degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance is preferred.
• Must be highly motivated and able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain the pool area and exercise room.
• Keep grounds clear of visible trash and clean the parking lot, sidewalks, breezeways, stairs, and entrance thoroughly, including weed removal.
• Check the maintenance log in the front office and fix any problems.
• Work on preventive maintenance tasks.
• Report any problem that cannot be easily fixed to the manager on duty so that professional help can be contacted.
• Report problems that would interfere with guest satisfaction to necessary departments and GM.
• Keep the storage area clean daily and lock all storage areas before clocking out.
• Ensure enough housekeeping supplies on each floor and sufficient linens and supplies in stock.
• Verify exterior lights are working properly.
• Report and fix any safety hazards throughout the hotel.
• Ensure stock room has inventory to last at least two weeks and inform GM if supplies need to be ordered.
• Follow and fill out the guest room inspection checklist for each room.
• Clean equipment, filters on HVAC units, and windows and doors.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education

Highschool Diploma/GED

Hospitality experience

Craft apprenticeship or equivalent maintenance education/experience

AA degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance

Self-motivated and capable of working independently
