Job summary

Holland America-Princess is seeking a Maintenance Crew for the Juneau/Skagway area in Alaska. The role involves operating a septic pumper truck, performing maintenance on crew housing, and assisting with various alpine and transit tasks on a glacier environment.

Requirements include CDL Class B with Tanker Endorsement (preferred), DOT Health Card, CPR/First Aid, and the ability to pass a drug test. Seasonal work runs April through October with shared housing and a meal allowance provided.

Qualifications

• Must be a self-starter and work well with others.
• Mechanically inclined or trained for hands-on maintenance.
• CDL Class B with Tanker Endorsement preferred; DOT Health Card required.

Responsibilities

• Operate a septic pumper truck and pump waste from the glacier.
• Maintain and upkeep crew housing on and off the glacier.
• Assist with occasional construction projects and Alaska Ferry vehicle transfers.
• Perform vehicle maintenance and load/unload helicopters as needed.
• Be prepared for a variety of jobs and work well with others.

Maintenance Crew has a variety of job duties:

• Operating a septic pumper truck and pumping waste sent down from the glacier
• Maintenance and upkeep on crew housing on and off the glacier.
• Occasional construction projects
• Alaska State Ferry vehicle transfers
• Vehicle maintenance
• Must be a self starter and work well with others
• Loading/unloading helicopters
• Operates a variety of equipment
• Will be called upon for a variety of jobs

Requirements:

• CDL Class B with Tanker Endorsement preferred
• DOT Health Card
• Mechanically inclined or trained
• Must be able to pass a drug test (including marijuana)
• CPR and 1st Aid certifications
• May be required to get a TSA badge

The season runs from April - October 1st

• Shared housing provided at no cost
• Meal allowance of $500/month
• End of Season of Bonus
