Job summary

Sunflower Bank is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician at our Junction City, KS location. The role focuses on the care and appearance of all bank buildings and grounds, ensuring a safe, welcoming environment for customers and associates.

Responsibilities include routine building maintenance, plumbing, carpentry, electrical work, drywall, concrete/masonry, and landscaping. Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent and good verbal/interpersonal skills; flexible hours may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Previous building and ground maintenance experience preferred.
• Must possess appropriate verbal and interpersonal skills.
• Must be able to work flexible hours.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance on the company’s buildings and properties.
• Responsible for plumbing, including cutting various copper pipes, soldering, removing and installing faucets, toilets and urinal parts, installing garbage disposals, replacing P-traps, PVC piping, sinks.
• Responsible for carpentry, including removing and installing cabinets, countertops, molding, trim, sanding and finishing work with appropriate tools.
• Responsible for electrical work, including outlets, switches, fixtures, wiring, and light fixtures.
• Responsible for drywall work, including removing and replacing gypsum board, taping joints, and finishing surfaces.
• Responsible for concrete/masonry tasks such as walks, curbs, slabs, and brick work.
• Perform landscaping, lawn and shrub care and general grounds maintenance.

Sunflower Bank, N.A. is looking for an energetic, highly motivated individual to fill the position of a full-time Maintenance at our Junction City, KS Location.

The Maintenance position is responsible for the maintenance and appearance of all company buildings and grounds.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance on the company’s buildings and properties.
• Responsible for plumbing, including cutting various copper pipes, soldering, removing and installing various types of faucets, toilet and urinal parts, installing garbage disposals, replacing P-traps, working with PVC piping, and removing and installing sinks.
• Responsible for carpentry, including removing and installing cabinets, countertops, drawer brackets, staining or varnishing, working with molding and trim, using a router, skill saw, reciprocal saw, jig saw, circular saw, power drills, and building various items.
• Responsible for electrical work, including removing and installing various outlets and switches, ballasts, fixing connectors, removing and installing various light fixtures, using various gauges, replacing circuit breakers, running wiring or cable, removing and installing ceiling fans or exhaust fans.
• Responsible for drywall, including removing and replacing gypsum board, cutting for outlets, hang nails or screws, paper sand or wet sand, tape joints and flair flats and corners, cut and attach metal corners.
• Responsible for concrete/masonry, including removing and installing concrete walks, curbs or slabs, form area mix concrete or mortar, cut and lay wire mesh or rebar, level sand, brick work or blocks.
• Perform landscaping, lawn and shrub care and maintenance.

Education / Experience Preferred

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Previous building and ground maintenance experience preferred.
• Must possess appropriate verbal and interpersonal skills.
• Must be able to work flexible hours.

Pay is dependent on knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, and location.

Working Conditions

The physical demands of this position require the ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation. Employees in this role will spend significant time walking throughout the facility and may frequently stand, bend, stoop, kneel, or crouch to perform maintenance and repair tasks. Climbing ladders, working at heights, and balancing are occasionally required. The position involves regular use of hands and arms to operate tools, equipment, and machinery. Employees must frequently lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds and occasionally handle heavier loads with assistance. Vision requirements include close and distance vision, color and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus for detailed work and safety awareness.
