Job summary

Alter Metal Recycling in Greeley, CO is seeking a Maintenance employee to keep plant equipment running. You will perform PMs on conveyors, perform repairs on motors, bearings, and hydraulic/pneumatic components, and troubleshoot mechanical issues across site.

The role offers full-time hours from Monday to Friday with potential Saturday shifts, and requires familiarity with forklifts, conveyors, and various industrial machinery.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform basic arithmetic for measurements and unit conversions.
• Familiarity with yard vehicles, forklift, loaders, and material separators is a definite plus.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 30–50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Maintains plant productivity by proactively managing maintenance function.
• Ensure proper parts inventory
• Maintain facility equipment
• Perform PM’s on: Downstream sorting lines, conveyors and machines.
• Diagnostics and minor repairs to industrial equipment including Mobile Equipment, Forklifts, front end loaders, skid steers, truck & Trailers.
• Perform troubleshooting, maintenance and repair work for machinery and various plant equipment e.g. Eddy Current Separator, System Conveyors, Trommels, etc.
• Knowledge on system conveyors is necessary.
• Work with hydraulic, pneumatic and electric systems, PLC, valves, cylinders, bearings, and electric motors.
• Check with key operations to ensure equipment runs properly; schedule maintenance as required.
• Prepare and maintain maintenance records and daily reports.
• Assign, review, and check work of maintenance, providing on-the-job training as needed.

Alter Metal Recycling is looking for a Maintenanceemployee at its Greeley, CO facility. Industrial Maintenance Mechanics play a crucial role in our operation. As an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic you will keep our facility equipment operating by performing work on conveyors, changing motor boxes, changing bearings and troubleshooting mechanical issues.

Hours:Monday through Friday 6:00am - 4pm. Saturday possible based on operational needs.

Summary

• May be involved in a variety of other responsibilities including ordering of parts, welding, fabricating and performance electrical repairs (minor).


• Perform other related duties or special projects as assigned.

Safety

Wears all necessary PPE when working in the yard. Follows company safety standards at all times.

Requirements

• Perform the basic functions of arithmetic; add, subtract, multiply and divide all units of measure. Compute ratio, rate and percent.


• Familiarity with yard vehicles, forklift, loaders, and material separators a definite plus


• Must be able to lift a minimum of 30 – 50 pounds.
