Responsibilities include maintaining facility functionality and safety, responding to guest calls and work orders, performing repairs in carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, painting, HVAC, and masonry, conducting preventive maintenance inspections, and documenting repairs and follow-ups.

Qualifications

• Advanced vocational training or equivalent
• Two years in general building maintenance or construction
• Knowledge of plumbing, carpentry, electrical systems, and equipment mechanics
• Reading and writing to follow instructions and read manuals
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and perform physical tasks

Responsibilities

• Respond to calls and work orders promptly to diagnose and repair non-functioning machinery or equipment

What We’re Looking For:

Fredericksburg Enterprises, Inc. is seeking self-motivated individuals with strong customer service skills and hotel maintenance experience to join our team.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain the physical functionality and safety of the facility including, but not limited to, guest rooms, public space and heart-of-the-house areas
• Respond to guest calls and team member work orders in a timely, friendly and efficient manner to assess and repair non-functioning machinery and/or equipment
• Perform a variety of repair and maintenance tasks including, but not limited to carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, painting, HVAC work and masonry
• Conduct inspections for preventive maintenance needs
• Record and report completed repairs and items that require further attention

Qualifications:

• Advanced vocational training plus two years of experience in general building maintenance or construction, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Previous background from the extended stay industry or apartment building maintenance preferred
• Knowledge of basic plumbing, carpentry, electricity, and equipment mechanics
• Reading and writing abilities are required in order to receive instructions for the day and/or to read equipment manuals including safety information
• Frequently standing up, bending, climbing, kneeling, and moving about the facility
• Frequently handling objects and equipment to maintain the facility
• Will be required to regularly use commercial chemicals
• Carrying, lifting or pulling items weighing up to 75 pounds
