Job summary

Langdon Place of Dover is seeking a dependable Maintenance Assistant to join our team. This role supports daily operation and upkeep to keep residents, visitors, and staff safe, clean, and comfortable.

The ideal candidate is hands-on, reliable, and able to perform a variety of maintenance tasks including basic repairs, preventative maintenance, and coordinating with other staff to respond to requests in a timely manner.

Qualifications

• Previous maintenance experience preferred.
• Knowledge of building systems, tools, and repair techniques.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must be able to lift, carry, and move equipment and supplies.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with general building maintenance and repairs
• Performing preventative maintenance on facility equipment and systems
• Assisting with plumbing, electrical, painting, carpentry, and minor repairs
• Responding to maintenance requests in a timely manner
• Maintaining grounds and exterior areas as needed
