Job summary

American Hardwood Industries in Amissville, VA is seeking a Maintenance Technician for the 1st shift to support a world class hardwood lumber operation.

You will diagnose and repair electrical/electronic, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, weld and fabricate as needed, and work with operators to minimize downtime in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma is required.
• Experience in welding/fabricating preferred.
• Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Ability to interface and communicate with line operators to assist with repairs and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Maintains and repairs electrical/electronic, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems and components.
• Troubleshoots and repairs equipment including programmable controls and power supplies.

AHI, a member of The Baillie Group is seeking a Maintenance Technician for their Amissville, VA location. This is a full time opportunity working for a world class hardwood lumber manufacturer.

Maintenance Technician Duties and Responsibilities:

• Conducts, maintains, tests, repairs electrical/electronic, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems and components.
• Applies knowledge of electrical/electronics and mechanical principles in determining equipment malfunctions and applies skills in restoring equipment to operation.
• Provides skilled mechanical and electrical/electronic support to all areas of manufacturing.
• Troubleshoots and repairs mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical/electronic equipment including but not limited to programmable controls, numerical controls, power supplies, drives, gages and test equipment.
• Welding and fabricating as needed
• Other duties/responsibilities may be assigned

Maintenance Technician Qualifications:

• HS Diploma is required.
• Experience in welding/fabricating preferred
• Experience and ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Must be able to work well with all levels of personnel whether individually or in a team environment, and especially must be able to interface and communicate with line operators in order to assist with repairs and troubleshooting.

Industrial Maintenance Technician Pay & Benefits:

• 1st Shift
• Minimum - Anticipated Maximum Salary: $20 - $30/hour*
