Job summary

The Baillie Group is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician for our North Garden, VA location. This full-time role involves maintaining electrical/electronic, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems across a world-class hardwood manufacturing operation.

Ideal candidates hold a 2-year degree or certificate in relevant fields, HS diploma required, and have experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Welding or related work is a plus and teamwork is essential.

Qualifications

• 2-year degree or certificate in electrical/electronics, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic fields preferred; HS Diploma required.
• Experience in fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Ability to interface and communicate with line operators to assist with repairs and troubleshooting.
• Welding or mechanical work is a plus.
• Must be able to work well with all levels of personnel and in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintains, tests, repairs electrical/electronic, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems and components.
• Applies knowledge to diagnose equipment malfunctions and restore operation.
• Provides skilled mechanical and electrical/electronic support to manufacturing.
• Troubleshoots and repairs equipment including programmable controls, NCs, power supplies, drives, gauges.
• Other duties as assigned.

Industrial Maintenance Technician Summary:

AHI, a member of The Baillie Group, is seeking maintenance mechanics/technicians for our North Garden, VA location. These are full time opportunities working for a world class hardwood lumber manufacturer.

Industrial Maintenance Technician Duties and Responsibilities:

• Conducts, maintains, tests, repairs electrical/electronic, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems and components.
• Applies knowledge of electrical/electronics and mechanical principles in determining equipment malfunctions and applies skills in restoring equipment to operation.
• Provides skilled mechanical and electrical/electronic support to all areas of manufacturing.
• Troubleshoots and repairs mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical/electronic equipment including but not limited to programmable controls, numerical controls, power supplies, drives, gages and test equipment.
• Other duties/responsibilities may be assigned.

Industrial Maintenance Technician Qualifications:

• A 2 year degree/certificate in electrical/electronics, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic fields is preferred and a HS Diploma is required.
• Any welding or mechanical work is a plus.
• Experience and ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Must be able to work well with all levels of personnel whether individually or in a team environment, and especially must be able to interface and communicate with line operators in order to assist with repairs and troubleshooting.
