Job summary

The Baillie Group is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician at its Owego, NY location. This full-time role involves maintaining, testing, and repairing electrical/electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems across the manufacturing floor.

Qualified candidates will have a HS diploma with a 2-year degree preferred in electrical/electronics, mechanical, hydraulic, or pneumatic fields, and welding experience.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma is required.
• A 2-year degree/technical certificate in electrical/electronics, mechanical, hydraulic or pneumatic fields preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains, tests, repairs electrical/electronic, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems and components.
• Diagnoses malfunctions and restores equipment to operation.
• Provides skilled mechanical and electrical/electronic support to manufacturing areas.
• Troubleshoots and repairs equipment including programmable controls, NCs, drives, gages and test equipment.

Industrial Maintenance Technician Summary:

The Baillie Group’s Owego, NY location is hiring for a Maintenance Technician. This is a full time opportunity working for a world class hardwood lumber manufacturer.

Industrial Maintenance Technician Duties and Responsibilities:

• Conducts, maintains, tests, repairs electrical/electronic, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems and components.
• Applies knowledge of electrical/electronics and mechanical principles in determining equipment malfunctions and applies skills in restoring equipment to operation.
• Provides skilled mechanical and electrical/electronic support to all areas of manufacturing.
• Troubleshoots and repairs mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical/electronic equipment including but not limited to programmable controls, numerical controls, power supplies, drives, gages and test equipment.
• Other duties/responsibilities may be assigned

Industrial Maintenance Technician Qualifications:

• A 2 year degree/certificate in electrical/electronics, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic fields is preferred and a HS Diploma is required.
• Welding experience required
• Experience and ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Must be able to work well with all levels of personnel whether individually or in a team environment, and especially must be able to interface and communicate with line operators in order to assist with repairs and troubleshooting.
• Experience a plus, but willing to train the right person!

Industrial Maintenance Technician Pay & Benefits:

• All shifts available
  • 1st – 6am – 2:30pm
  • 2nd – 2pm – 10:30pm
  • 3rd – 10pm – 6:30am
• Monday – Friday
• Anticipated Minimum – Anticipated Maximum Pay: $17.50 - $32/hour
• 3rd shift offers pay differential
