Performs most tasks independently with occasional assistance of outside vendor. Is available to respond to maintenance emergencies that may arise outside of regular working hours.**Critical Success Factors*** Practices good safety awareness and follows safety procedures, including infection control measures where applicable.* Ability to be self-supervising and self-motivating. Able to set priorities and complete tasks in a timely manner.* Must demonstrate a positive, courteous and respectful attitude to residents, families, staff and visitors.**Minimum Qualifications*** Prior experience in building maintenance.* Must possess knowledge of the following: Plumbing, including but not limited to design/mechanics of commodes, plumbing fixtures, drains, discharge lines, hot water heaters, dishwashers, ice machines, etc. HVAC, including but not limited to general principles of HVAC and heat pump operation/mechanics, and refrigeration. Electricity, including but not limited to wiring, voltage, amperage. Mechanics, including but not limited to design/operation of engines.* Must possess a valid driver’s license; must have clean driving record with no major violations.We are an equal opportunity employer.
