Job summary

CFD Research Corporation seeks a Maintainability and Testability Engineer to support lifecycle management of complex aerospace hardware. You will develop frameworks for fault detection, diagnostics, and maintenance planning, collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams to improve reliability and serviceability.

Responsibilities include performing analyses, supporting design maturation with FMEA/FMECA data, and contributing to verification of maintenance procedures and publications. U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline (systems, mechanical, electrical, aerospace, industrial or related).
• 3+ years in maintainability, testability, diagnostics, maintenance engineering, product support or related area.
• Understanding of hardware failure modes and relation to fault detection, isolation, and repair.
• Ability to read technical drawings, system architecture, controls logic, and maintenance information.
• Strong technical writing and analytical skills.
• U.S. citizenship required and ability to obtain security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the maintainability and testability engineering framework.
• Create and maintain Maintenance Task Analyses and Level of Repair Analysis.
• Develop fault detection, fault isolation, and diagnostic analyses.
• Collaborate with controls, software, electrical, mechanical, and other teams to enhance BIT and diagnostics.
• Evaluate health-monitoring, prognostic capabilities, and verification approaches.
• Support reliability-centered maintenance and lifecycle engineering activities.
