Job summary

Rust-Oleum Corporation in Maryland seeks a hands-on procurement specialist to buy MRO goods and services and to oversee storeroom activities. You will handle ERP/CMMS transactions, report on inventory, and help optimize planning and scheduling while maintaining strong vendor relationships.

The role emphasizes accuracy, teamwork and adherence to safety and quality procedures. This is a non-exempt, full-time position with comprehensive benefits after 30 days and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Proficient with MS Word, Outlook, Excel, and Teams.
  • Preferred experience with ERP and CMMS systems.
  • Ability to work across all levels of the organization; strong problem solving and emotional intelligence.
  • Attention to detail and customer service orientation.
  • Experience with internal/external coordination is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Procurement of MRO goods and services with tracking and expediting.
  • Facilitate various ERP and CMMS transactions including reporting, purchasing, AP, inventory, asset optics, planning and scheduling, and reconciliation.
  • Assist storeroom activities: stock replenishment, cycle counting, shelf stocking, housekeeping, restructuring.
  • Manage vendor/supplier/contractor relations; maintain and seek out new relations, expedite issues, and initiate/close claims.
  • Coordinate vendor/service visits; participate in peer engagement programs; back up coworkers as needed.
  • Follow defined operating procedures and department quality control processes; adhere to safety and company policies; conduct business with integrity.

Additional Consideration Given To Those With

  • Paint/Coatings/Chemical industry knowledge or experience.
This is a Non-Exempt position. Salary Target Range: $23.60 - 27.60/HR.
