Job summary

Exelon is seeking a skilled fleet mechanic to maintain and repair our company vehicles, ensuring safety and reliability. You must hold a CDL Class A with Hazmat/Tanker endorsements and be able to obtain required OEM certifications within one year.

The role includes union participation and requires the ability to perform heavy manual labor. Responsibilities include adhering to regulations and company policies, and completing formal training as part of ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Must have valid CDL Class A driver's license with Hazmat, Tanker endorsements (or ability to attain)
• Thorough working knowledge of operation, maintenance, diagnosis and repair of company vehicles, work equipment, and specialized tools
• Capable of performing heavy manual labor without restriction
• Demonstrated safe behavior
• Able to succeed in formal training and schooling sessions
• Strong oral, written, and verbal communication; able to work without direct supervision

Primary Purpose

Responsible for fleet maintenance. Responsible for adherence to all governmental regulations and compliance with company policies and procedures. Performs other related duties as assigned or required. Required to achieve the company-approved minimum 4 O.E.M (Original Equipment Manufacturer) certifications within one year from date of employment. Minimum Qualifications

• Must have a valid CDL Class A driver's license with Hazmat, Tanker, endorsements (or the ability to attain) and retain thereafter
• Must have demonstrated a thorough working knowledge of the operation, maintenance, diagnosis and repair of the company vehicles, work equipment, and specialized tools through formalized training
• Must be capable of performing heavy manual labor without restriction.
• Must have demonstrated safe behavior
• Must have the ability to succeed formal training and schooling sessions
• Must be capable of effective oral, written, and verbal electrical communication
• Must be capable of working without direct supervision.
• Required to achieve the company-approved minimum 4 O.E.M (Original Equipment Manufacturer) certifications within one year from date of employment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with fluid power hydraulics
• 4 O.E.M (Original Equipment Manufacturer) certifications or experience with diesel-hydraulic vehicles
