Job summary

Pyramid Consulting, Inc. is seeking a talented Mainframe ZOS System Programmer/Developer/DBA for a full-time hybrid role in Jersey City, NJ. The candidate will install, configure, and maintain IBM z/OS, manage upgrades, RMF/SMF/SDSF monitoring, and collaborate with DB2/CICS/IMS teams.

The role requires strong knowledge of RACF, JES2/JES3, TSO/E, ISPF, USS, and automation using REXX/CLIST, with weekend IPL windows expected as needed. Competitive pay and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Must have IBM z/OS & mainframe experience
• Strong knowledge of z/OS subsystems and security
• Experience with system upgrades, performance tuning, and capacity planning

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain IBM z/OS operating systems
• Perform upgrades, migrations, and apply maintenance
• Monitor system health using RMF/SMF/SDSF and resolve outages
• Support RACF-based security and integration with DB2/CICS/IMS/MQ
• Develop automation with REXX and CLIST; support job scheduling (CA7/Control-M)
• Prepare implementation plans, backout procedures, and validation steps
• Create and maintain SOPs and disaster recovery documentation
