Job summary

Bank of America is seeking a senior System Automation engineer to design and implement tooling for IBM System Automation Z/OS, NETVIEW, and GDPS-CA, ensuring alignment with architectural governance and standards.

You will develop templates, playbooks, and automation for deployment, and identify opportunities to improve efficiency while embracing a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. Strong communication and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

Minimum of 7 years’ experience with Mainframe z/OS operating system.
Deep knowledge of Mainframe System Automation and related tooling.
Experience with REXX and PIPES for automation tasks is required.

Responsibilities

Provide subject matter expertise on technologies and ensure solutions comply with standards.
Translate business requirements into technical definitions and deployment blueprints.
Develop software solutions to automate repeatable processes and improve efficiency.
Lead small teams or initiatives and communicate across technical and non‑technical audiences.
Participate in on‑call support and maintain documentation.
