Job Summary (Mainframe Systems Programmer)

• Provide mainframe systems programming and administration support, including installation, customization, and maintenance of z/OS operating system.
• Install, upgrade, and support mainframe software such as IBM JCL, CICS, CICS Transaction Gateway (CTG), MQ, and IBM Workload Scheduler (IWS).
• Manage and administer z/OS security certificates, RACF accounts, and LDAP directory services.
• Support and maintain IBM DB2 databases on z/OS.
• Perform COBOL programming, including program compilation, unit/integrated testing, and implementing changes in COBOL/JCL environments.
• Monitor production workloads, analyze systems and programs, and conduct system analysis and design in mainframe environments.
• Debug and diagnose mainframe errors by reviewing system logs and performing error analysis.
• Work independently and provide guidance to other team members as needed.
• Ensure compliance with system security and operational standards.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to troubleshoot issues and implement solutions in a remote, EST timezone setting.
