Job summary

Highmark Health in Pittsburgh is seeking a Mainframe Storage Administrator to join the IT Mainframe Storage Management Team. You will learn and assist with implementing mainframe storage hardware and software, support day-to-day operations, and participate in weekly on-call rotations.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in a related field and 3 years of experience in storage or mainframe environments. You will work with stakeholders across IT, product and analytics to deliver reliable

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or related field.
At least 3 years of experience in storage hardware/software and mainframe environments.
Experience with mainframe storage devices and IBM Spectrum products preferred.
Ability to work with cross-functional teams and meet deadlines with minimal defects.

Responsibilities

Analyze, design, code, test and implement technical storage solutions with defined scope and budgets.
Collaborate with IT, product, analytics and business teams to gather requirements.
Monitor progress against production schedules and report issues to leadership.
Document processes and participate in technical reviews and knowledge sharing.
Ensure solution alignment to enterprise goals and standards with architecture.
Perform technical analysis to support decision-making across departments.
Stay up-to-date with relevant technologies and best practices.
