Job Description

100% telecommute position. May work remotely or telecommute to the company headquarters in Menomonee Falls, WI.

Job Duties:

1. Drive development, testing, deployment, and iterative improvement of product capabilities and features in collaboration with designers, product managers, and other engineers.
2. Leverage critical thinking, experimentation, data, and industry best practices to implement desired business outcomes.
3. Develop high-quality applications that are secure, easy to operate, resilient, and highly observable with measurable results.
4. Manage all technical aspects of the product application lifecycle, including code, infrastructure, data, security, and CI/CD processes.
5. Establish product engineering and software standards.
6. Continuously develop skills and maintain a strong knowledge of new technologies, modern application architecture, and industry best practices.

Required Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, plus 5 years of relevant experience.

Additional Experience Required:

• Application design patterns, event-driven architecture, database schemas, and testing strategies.
• Troubleshooting and performance tuning for large-scale applications.
• Continuous integration, deployment, and test-driven development for mainframe business applications.
• Development of integration frameworks and platforms including MQ, Oracle, sFTP, VSAM, Bizlink, EDI, ConnectDirect.
• Full SDLC involvement: requirements gathering, planning, estimation, development, testing, and deployment.
• Database design and implementation for mainframe applications and integrations with distributed systems.
• Leveraging critical thinking, experimentation, data, and industry best practices to achieve business goals.
• Developing secure, easy-to-operate, resilient, and highly observable business applications with measurable outcomes.
• Establishing product engineering and software standards.
• Proficiency in COBOL, JCL, TSO/ISPF, DB2, MQ, VSAM, RDS, Mobius, Jira, and CICS.
