Job summary

Stage 4 Solutions is seeking multiple Mainframe Printer Computer Operators (and Lead Operators) to provide onsite operational support for the U.S. Government Publishing Office mainframe data center in Washington, DC. The focus of this role is to support mainframe printing, processing, job scheduling, and Production Control operations.

This is a 3-year contract, full-time onsite at the U.S. Government Publishing Office, 732 N. Capitol Street NW, Washington, DC 20401.

Qualifications

• Experience operating high-speed laser printers, impact printers, and burster equipment in a mainframe data center.
• Experience with job scheduling, monitoring, and troubleshooting in TSO/ISPF environments.
• Experience submitting, scheduling, and tracking jobs using JCL in TSO/ISPF.
• Ability to handle printer supplies, paper, toner, and print media.
• Experience coordinating with maintenance personnel for issue resolution.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain high-speed printers within a mainframe data center environment.
• Set up printers per mainframe console instructions and load supplies.
• Monitor print operations, organize output, and prepare reports for distribution.
• Execute job scheduling, monitoring, and troubleshooting in TSO/ISPF environments.
• Submit and track mainframe jobs using JCL within TSO.
• Provide operational assistance to Production Control staff.
