Job summary

NTT DATA Services in the United States is seeking an experienced mainframe developer to join a major insurance client. You will build and maintain applications using COBOL, JCL, DB2 and CICS, with Microfocus experience.

You will collaborate with client teams, prepare technical specs, review code, perform unit and UAT testing, and support SIT and production deployments. Remote role with competitive pay and opportunities to grow in a large, global IT services company.

Qualifications

Minimum 8+ years mainframe development experience using COBOL, JCL, DB2, CICS.
Minimum 3+ years of experience in Microfocus.

Responsibilities

Attend client meetings to understand requirements and provide technical solutions for Mainframe and Microfocus.
Research and write technical changes as per client requirements and prepare technical specifications.
Analyze existing programs in Mainframe and modify or develop new ones per business needs.
Attend stand-up and review meetings to track progress and product shaping.
Develop code in COBOL, VSAM, JCL, CICS, DB2, Web services CICS and perform testing.
Perform code and design reviews to ensure adherence to guidelines.
Test (unit and UAT) changes with test cases and evaluate results.
Provide SIT/UAT support and production rollouts; review code delivery and manage defects.
